// TREVOR VICKERS: Artist Profile

‘In a recent interview, Vickers reflected upon what is a painting: “It’s where the eye and the brain meet, bringing one’s whole life experiences together. I set up triggers to initiate this viewer exchange – it’s all about exchange. I have done this now for over fifty years.”’

// SYDNEY CONTEMPORARY 2023

Our 8th representation at the art fair was a resounding success. Highlights being almost sell out show of works by Giles Hohnen and Eveline Kotai, and a suite of works by Andre Lipscombe collected by ArtBank. There was also great interest in the works by Trevor Vickers, Cathy Blanchflower and Michele Theunissen. It was great to meet so many new collectors and people interested in the work of the Collective artists.

It shows that consistent representation of WA artists at international fairs such as Sydney Contemporary is a valuable contribution to an artist’s profile, growing audiences for WA art across Australia, and accessing new opportunities. We thank our generous donors and benefactors who help us to continue this work.
